The ability to see the truth is not a function of the eyes but of the heart. The Little Prince: "Ce qui est essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." "That which is essential is invisible to the eyes." Another possible theme: Treachery can hide where it is least expected, even in the heart of one you love and trust the most. (pp. 38, 40) 3.
