Announcements and Reminders:                School Pictures:  September 3-4         Don't forget to bring a composition book to leave in the classroom There will be a school dance for 7th and 8th graders right after school this Friday. 2:45 - 4:00pm --  $2.00 entrance fee

Targets for Today: Targets for Today:    I will spend time reading for enjoyment!    II will tie in art with literature.    I will listen and read along as our class begins reading a shared book.

Today’s  Agenda: Find your assigned seat. Turn in your disclosure document signature sheet, if it is filled out. 1. Individual Reading Time and write a brief reader's response  -- in your composition book -- to what you have read today. 2. About Arabian Art -- http://www.pbs.org/empires/islam/cultureart.html 3. Read (as a class)  The Storyteller's Daughter     Class Agreement?   I will NOT read ahead.   The Storyteller's DaughterToday we read from page 19  to page 35- hidden behind the vine.
