Targets for Today: READ!  Learn about ways to respond to books (and other literature).   Begin reading Stargirl.

Today’s  Agenda: 1. Individual Reading Time: Choose your own materials 2. Respond to what you read:   In your composition book.  Write about 1/4 to 1/3 page under Reading Response Log. 3. Share your responses.   Appointment partners: 8 o'clock                                            Last time:   1 o'clock 4.  Think and write about conformity and individuality.  Conformity is the act of matching attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors to group norms.  In your composition book, under "Reading Response Log,"  label your entry "Conformity,"  add today's date, and write to answer these questions: What does conformity look like at our school, in our community? Do you conform or not? How are you expected to conform?  Is it a problem or a plus when you don't conform.
